USDA Farm Loan Discovery online tool
The USDA is making it easier for producers to figure out which farm loans work best for them.
FSA administrator Richard Fordyce says the goal in developing the Farm Loan Discovery tool was to make borrowing money less intimidating.
“And I think credit is critically important to agriculture.”
He says the online tool helps prepare borrowers looking to secure a loan.
“What kind of documentation do I need? How can I prepare at home, or how can I prepare before I go into the (FSA) office to bring the proper and correct documents to support my loan application.”
Fordyce says that preparation should shorten the process of getting a loan closed.
