USDA declares 10 Indiana counties disaster areas

USDA has declared 10 Indiana counties primary disaster areas because of excessive rain, flooding, and flash flooding, covering April 1 through July 7, 2011.

The primary counties are Dearborn, Grant, Huntington, Knox, Lake, Ohio, Porter, Vigo, Wabash, and Wells.

A number of contiguous Indiana counties and neighboring counties in Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio are also eligible for aid.

Indiana: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Clay, Daviess, Delaware, Franklin, Fulton, Gibson, Greene, Howard, Jasper, Jay, Kosciusko, La Porte, Madison, Miami, Newton, Parke, Pike, Ripley, Starke, Sullivan, Switzerland, Tipton, Vermillion, and Whitley

Illinois: Clark, Cook, Crawford, Edgar, Kankakee, Lawrence, Wabash, and Will

Kentucky: Boone

Ohio: Butler and Hamilton
