Two Indiana-based cooperatives approve merger

The boards of Ceres Solutions Cooperative, Inc. and Co-Alliance Cooperative, Inc. have approved a merger between the two organizations.

Amy Kinsler, Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Co-Alliance tells Brownfield the company will be named Keystone Cooperative Inc.

“In year three, we expect to have $25 million in synergies just from bringing our teams together and executing at a higher level of operational efficiencies and sales excellence,” she says.

She says farmers aren’t expected to see any disruption in service heading into spring planting.

“Both organizations have had record patronage years,” she shares.  “We anticipate that patronage levels remain strong and for us to be able to heavily invest into their local facilities so that we’re able to keep up with them.”

The merger will be effective March 1 serving customers in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. It will have four core divisions, including Energy, Agronomy, Grain, and Swine & Animal Nutrition.
