Third, tentative agreement reached in Deere strike

An end could be in sight for the month-long labor strike with Deere & Company.

The United Auto Workers says the two sides agreed to a potential contract Friday night and it includes “modest modifications” to the most recent rejected contract offer.

The UAW says the latest proposal is Deere’s “last, best and final offer.” Union members will vote on the contract Wednesday. Details of agreement have not been released.

More than 10,000 UAW members in Iowa, Illinois and Kansas have been on strike since Oct. 14.
