The rain just won’t stop

Consistent rain for nearly a month has kept the president of the Michigan Soybean Association from most of harvest.

“We harvested a whole 20 acres before we had to get out of the field because it was just too wet.”

Heather Feuerstein farms in West Michigan’s Ionia County and says it just won’t stop raining.

“I think in the last week and a half we have gotten about four inches of rain and that’s a lot for us, and we were already pretty wet,” she says.

Once harvest takes off, Feuerstein says it should go quick, and hopefully, they’ll be able to capture good yields like area farmers have reported.
