The challenges of the mid-rut lull
It’s the middle of November, which means it’s generally a deer hunter’s favorite time of the year to be in the whitetail woods. But, one whitetail expert says some hunters may encounter a “mid-rut lull.”
Longtime outdoor writer Bill Winke, host of Hoyt’s Bowhunting Whitetails, says we’re currently near the peak of the whitetail breeding season. He tells Brownfield it can actually be a challenging time to hunt deer with a bow.
