Right to repair lawsuits consolidate in IL court

At least seven right to repair cases against John Deere are being consolidated in the U.S. District Court of Northern Illinois.

The individual cases allege John Deere violated the Sherman act by monopolizing the repair market. The lawsuit involves plaintiffs from at least six states including Illinois, Minnesota, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and North Dakota.

The court tells Brownfield similar plaintiffs around the U.S. could join the case. No action has been taken yet by the court.

The plaintiffs include Forest River Farms in North Dakota, Plumb Ridge Farms in Illinois, Ostego Forestry Service in New York, Oklahoma farmer Monty Ferrel, Tennessee farmer David Underwood, Tennessee farmer Blake Johnson (originally filed in Mississippi), and Hapka Farms in Minnesota.
