Rain continues to slow Hoosier harvest

Wet weather added additional harvest delays for Hoosier farmers this week.

According to the latest USDA Crop and Weather report, 80 percent of the corn crop has been harvested and soybean harvest is 89 percent complete.

Seventy-seven percent of winter wheat is emerged and 72 percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 96 percent and subsoil moisture is 89 percent adequate to surplus.
