Producer survey on pest management issue

More than 2,000 Illinois producers will be surveyed about pest management by the University of Illinois Extension service in the coming weeks. The goal is to find out what producers think about recent changes in private applicator training and what’s influencing their pest management decisions. Participation in the survey is being urged.

Recent budget constraints have required those training events be moved from county level locations to regional locations. Answers from the survey will be used by the University to better develop and design future pesticide safety education.

All producer responses will be confidential. The statewide survey is funded by the Illinois Ag Department and the U.S. EPA.
