Procedural error forces re-vote on emergency dicamba ban

The Arkansas State Plant Board will re-vote Friday on the proposed emergency dicamba ban.  According to Adriane Barnes, communications director for the Arkansas Agriculture Department, there was a procedural error in yesterday’s vote.  She tells Brownfield in order to remain transparent and to avoid any confusions, the board will reconvene on Friday to vote again on the issue.

If the measure is passed by the board, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson will then need to approve it.

As of this morning there are 135 alleged dicamba misuse complaints in 17 counties.
