Peterson House Ag Chairman again

Minnesota Congressman Collin Peterson has been elected chairman of the House Ag Committee. It’s the second time he’s filled that role as a member of the majority, serving first from 2007 through 2011. Peterson says there’s no shortage of work to be done and the job will be to work together with Republicans “to provide responsible oversight of the administration and pragmatic solutions” in the farm and food supply chain.

Republican Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas, the chair of the Senate Ag committee, has announced he will not seek a fifth term in 2020.
