Paxton ‘didn’t expect it to go so quickly’

Missouri’s outgoing FFA President Paxton Dahmer presided over his last State Convention Business Session and commented that the year was history sooner than he thought it would be.

“I didn’t expect for it to go so quickly,” Dahmer told Brownfield Ag News after stepping away from the podium at the University of Missouri Hearnes Center. “They say a year’s quick, but you never really know how quick it is until you are a state officer and you go through this year of events, one after the other.”

After this, Dahmer is back to concentrating on his ag education degree, inspiration for which he gives credit to those who taught him. “I had several advisors that pushed me forward throughout my FFA career,” Dahmer recalled. “I know I wouldn’t be standing on stage if it weren’t for them.”

Dahmer’s Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) was diversified livestock, specializing in cattle, but he also has shown hogs, sheep and goats across the nation. He also raised and sold Australian cattle dogs and worked at a vet clinic and at a livestock show supply dealer.
