Ohio beef producer says technology access improves farm management

An Ohio beef producer says increased access to tools and information helps today’s farmers and ranchers make better management decisions.
Tom Turner raises shorthorn cattle in southeast Ohio. He says ease of access is key for producers with today’s tight margins.
“Whether it has to do with grazing, or looking at profit per acre rather than per cow. But I think the way to go about that is to utilize all the experts. We have a vast group of extension people that are more than happy to help,” says Turner.
Turner and his wife Susie were honored this past weekend by the Ohio Cattlemen’s Association with the Industry Excellence award.
The award was presented by the Ohio Shorthorn Association and Brownfield Ag News.
