Green Energy Ohio has named Tony Logan, state director of Ohio Rural Development their 2014 Public Official of the Year for 2014 for his dedication to the clean energy sector.

Jessica Swihart has joined the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s field staff. The University of Findlay graduate will be training under Darren Frank, organization director in Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties.

The American Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee has awarded the Summit County Farm Bureau a $700 grant to help fund its “Plow to Chow” event, an outdoor formal dining experience that will benefit Ronald McDonald House of Akron. Summit County was one of four county Farm Bureaus selected nationwide.
