NFU & AFBF call for swift farm bill passage

The nation’s largest farmer groups are calling for swift passage of a new farm bill BEFORE the current one runs out September 30th.

The leaders of the National Farmers Union and American Farm Bureau are asking Senate and House conferees to move quickly – as farmers are facing the lowest farm income in 12 years.

Farm Bureau president Zippy Duvall says the farm economy has gone from bad to worse. NFU president Roger Johnson says farmers and ranchers need certainty right now.

American Farm Bureau and National Farmers Union are among 150 groups who have written to 2018 Farm Bill conferees urging swift passage.
