New American Dairy Science Association leadership selected

The scientific group that works to advance the dairy industry will have some new leaders in June.

The American Dairy Science Association selected University of Vermont food sciences professor Paul Kindstedt for a one-year term as Vice President.  He is an expert on dairy technology, animal science, and food science.

Rohit Kapoor from Dairy Management, Inc. will be on the board of directors in the dairy foods division.   Xin Zhao with McGill University in Montreal will serve on the board of directors in the production division.  Both Kapoor and Zhao will serve year terms.

Kapoor is the vice president of product research at Dairy Management Inc. and leads National Dairy Council research programs for milk powders, whey, and milk protein ingredients.  Zhao works in the field of mammary gland biology, researching bovine mammary functions and causes of mastitis.
