Nebraska’s crops are ahead of average in development

Nebraska’s corn and soybean crops are slightly ahead of schedule in their development.

The latest crop report put the denting of corn at 29 percent compared to the 20 percent average.  Pod-setting on soybeans was at 90 percent, eight points ahead of average.

Corn rated 73 percent good to excellent with soybeans at 76 percent. Sorghum rates 71 percent good to excellent.

Pasture and range conditions rated 55 percent good to excellent.
