Nebraska libraries receive ‘Farmland’ DVDs

farmland movie-editDVD copies of the acclaimed documentary film “Farmland” have been distributed to every library in Nebraska, courtesy of the Nebraska Soybean Board (NSB).

“Our board really felt like this was a good way to reach not only young people, but the public who might not be involved in ag production,” says Drew Guiney, NSB marketing director. “It tells a great story and creates a great picture, especially of the young farmers—people who are just starting to get into the industry—and we thought it was a great way to showcase the innovations in farming today.”

DVDs were sent to nearly 13-hundred school, public and institutional libraries across the state.

The Farmland documentary portrays the lives of six young farmer and ranchers and the challenges and opportunities they face.
