Nebraska crops see five and six percent declines due to extreme heat

Nebraska crops are reflecting heat stress after last week’s extreme temperatures. Corn condition is rated at 55 percent good-to-excellent with 76 percent dented. Soybeans 52 percent good-to-excellent with most of the crop setting pods. Pasture and range conditions are rated 51 percent good-to-excellent. Topsoil moisture is 46 adequate-to-surplus and subsoil moisture is 38 percent adequate-to-surplus.
