NE crop conditions improve slightly

Nebraska crop conditions improved slightly last week.

The USDA says corn is rated 82 percent good to excellent.

Forty-six percent of soybeans have started blooming with the crop rated 80 percent good to excellent.

Winter wheat harvest reached seven percent with its rating at 65 percent good to excellent.  

Sorghum is rated 85 percent good to excellent.

Oats have a 56 percent good to excellent rating. 

Pasture ratings are low at 29 percent good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture was 56 percent adequate and 2 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture was 53 percent adequate and 1 percent surplus.
