NAMI & OSHA sign alliance to address COVID-19
The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) have signed a two-year alliance to protect meat and poultry plant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
The alliance is being formed to give Meat Institute members, the public and other stakeholders information, guidance and access to training. Information will include recognizing coronavirus transmission risks, best prevention practices, OSHA’s enforcement policies and procedures for the industry.
The Meat Institute says the alliance will also reach out to small and medium-sized facilities with guidance and compliance resources.
