MO State Fair to refund canceled events, admission

The director of the Missouri State Fair says the fair will be refunding all canceled events and admission tickets.

Mark Wolfe tells Brownfield fairground admission will be free for junior show exhibiters and viewers…

“We won’t be charging admission to come onto the fairgrounds itself, but in an effort to provide [a] certain amount of safety for our exhibitors walking around [and] moving livestock, we will probably limit some of the access to the facility,” he said.

Wolfe said even without admission costs, fair attendance will likely be low, and crowding shouldn’t be an issue.

“There’s a lot of acreage here and our barns and our show arenas are spread out all over the fairgrounds, most of them are open air,” he said. “So, I really feel like that will take care of itself.”

Wolfe said the campgrounds will still be open, but campers must email the state fair office to receive a refund on their reservations. To cancel campground reservations, email [email protected].
