Missouri releases $3-B in broadband grant funds

Missouri’s broadband grant program is releasing more than $3-Million dollars for 16 projects that serve more than 4-thousand homes, businesses and farms that don’t have high-speed internet access. The program matches up to 50 percent of eligible expenses.

Missouri Ag Director Chris Chinn says the COVID-19 outbreak has emphasized the importance of strong community connections especially in rural Missouri. The FCC says nearly 600-thousand rural Missourians do not have access to high-speed internet.

Missouri has an online list to find broadband discounts, waivers and free resources during the coronavirus pandemic.
