A farmer in southwest Minnesota is finishing up the 2020 crop year with preparations for 2021.

Bryan Biegler of Lake Wilson tells Brownfield harvest is nearly complete.

“Hopefully next week we can get the strip-till bar up and running. I’ve got all my acres to do, and then we’ve got a lot of custom acres to do too. That will fill in our time until probably well into November doing that.”

He says dry conditions this fall are welcome after back to back wet harvests.

“Now this year we’re (looking at) pretty much the exact opposite because it’s a little on the drier side. But that’s okay, we can keep on going and it should work out well this year.”

Biegler is first vice president of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association.
