Minnesota Farm Bureau pleased with Governor’s State of the State

A leading ag organization is pleased Governor Walz mentioned many of the top issues facing farmers during Wednesday night’s State of the State address.

President Kevin Paap says Minnesota Farm Bureau looks forward to working with the Governor to improve transportation infrastructure, expand broadband access, find solutions for rising healthcare costs, and develop a support system for mental health in rural Minnesota.

Speaking at the AURI New Uses Forum in Minneapolis last week, Governor Walz called Minnesota an agricultural state.

“It is in our past, it is with us now, and it will be our future. The innovation that comes with that and the innovation of being able to feed a hungry world, and the reality of what nine billion people on this planet looks like is very real and very near.”

Paap says Minnesota Farm Bureau echoes the Governor’s charge to the Minnesota Legislature and his administration to work together and move forward in a bipartisan manner.
