Merger creates largest Case IH commercial applicator equipment dealership in North America

Two newly joined implement dealerships have become the largest Case IH commercial application equipment distributor in North America.

Last month, the entities of Hutchinson, Minnesota-based AG Systems officially merged with Heartland Ag of Ames, Iowa, to form Heartland AG Systems.

President Arnie Sinclair says both companies focus on the custom applicator segment but share no overlap.

“We deal with a lot of national accounts who are scattered throughout many states, and now they’ll be able to come to one dealer for basically all their retail fertilizer needs.”

He tells Brownfield the merger was in the best interest of the companies, and it should be a seamless transition for their customers.

“Both companies are going to continue on as we have in the past through the spring season. Most of the changes that will take place will be on the upper level. But we’ll continue to offer first-class service and parts distribution through all of our stores.”

Through the merger, Heartland AG Systems now has nine locations in eight states.

The expanded footprint stretches east to west from Michigan to Colorado, and north to south from North Dakota to Missouri.
