Iowa up to 19 HPAI cases this fall
Iowa now has 19 detections of highly pathogenic avian influenza since fall migration began.
The state’s department of agriculture says the latest case is a backyard mixed species flock in southeast Iowa’s Mahaska County.
Producers who see sick birds or unusual deaths among birds should contact state or federal officials immediately.
