Indiana celebrates June Dairy Month

June is National Dairy Month and the American Dairy Association of Indiana is taking the entire month to celebrate dairies across the state.

Jenni Purcell, communications director for ADAI says they are celebrating in an extra special way this year.  “If you go to our website, www.winnersdrinkmilk.com, you will see our new promotion called ’30 Dairies in 30 Days’,” she says.  “We’re encouraging people to get to know their local dairy farmer each day of June Dairy month.”

She tells Brownfield there’s an interactive map to help you get to know your local dairy farmer.  “Depending if you’re close to Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, South Bend, or Evansville, you can go to the map and see what dairy farms are close to you,” she says.  “When you click on the link to your local dairy farmer you can see pictures of their farm, the history of their farm, and also a favorite farm recipe or farm motto that they live by.”
