ILFB President: Several issues at forefront early in 2024

The president of the Illinois Farm Bureau says there isn’t a shortage of ag issues facing farmers in 2024.

Ogle County farmer Brian Duncan tells Brownfield…

“There’s some topics hot on everybody’s mind,” he says, “labor, availability of labor, affordability of labor, still trying to rectify Prop 12, you know, just the basic boilerplate of agricultural issues, from Farm Bill to transportation to biofuels.”

He says those topics and others will be addressed at IFB’s annual Governmental Affairs & Leadership Conference for members on February 20th in Springfield.

Duncan was also elected to the American Farm Bureau Federation board in January.
