HSUS board investigates allegations against its CEO Pacelle

The Board of Directors of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has hired a law firm to investigate an allegation of workplace misconduct against its CEO, Wayne Pacelle, according to a statement on the organization’s web site.

A report by the Chronicle of Philanthropy says the investigation involves an alleged sexual relationship between Pacelle and a female employee.

The Chronicle says Pacelle continues to work at HSUS.  He did not respond to their email seeking comment.
