House Democrats float ag disaster bill

A disaster aid bill has been introduced by House Democrats for farmers who lost crops and trees from hurricanes last year.

The package would increase potential benefits for crop losses, including cotton that was wiped out by Hurricane Michael, and damaged pecan trees through the Tree Assistance Program.

The more than $1-Billion-dollar package reportedly is modeled after a 2017 disaster aid program.
