Hinson says Congress must prioritize 2023 Farm Bill

US Congresswoman Ashley Hinson says risk management tools need to be prioritized in the 2023 Farm Bill.

“Making sure that our crop insurance program is included and continues that coverage for our farmers,” Hinson said Friday. “The stability of the food supply in this country is critical.”

The Iowa Republican tells Brownfield she’s seeking more investments in conservation.

“Many of the conservations programs that our farmers know and trust, and are using very much so here in Iowa,” Hinson said. “They are doing a lot of good there for water quality and soil quality.”

Hinson says she’s optimistic the farm bill will get passed this year.
