Have a plan for resistant weeds

As farmers manage resistant weeds like amaranth and Italian rye grass, Ryan Bryant with UPL says a comprehensive weed management plan is a good idea.

“Using a good pre-foundation, follow with a timely post-emergence application and at the same time, making sure we’re using multiple effective sites of action,” he says. “In addition, rotating those modes of action. That’s critical to optimize a weed control program and maximize the longevity of those products for future use.”

Bryant also takes a closer look at a few new herbicides from UPL in this interview from the Commodity Classic.
