Harvest over for most Iowa corn, soybean producers

The USDA says 2019 ended in Iowa with most producers able to wrap up their delayed corn and soybean harvests.

Temperatures were warmer than normal across the state during December, good for livestock, with grazing reported on corn stalks, but some feedlots are muddy because of rain and snow.

That precipitation also slowed down grain movement, tillage, tile installation, and nitrogen and manure application.
