Harvest is starting earlier than normal in Minnesota.

USDA’s latest weekly crop report says six percent of the state’s corn for grain has been harvested, compared to zero percent last year and the five-year average of one percent.

Soybean harvest is also at six percent, compared to one percent normally this time of year.

The spring wheat harvest is wrapping up, the potato crop is 46 percent harvested, and sugarbeets are 12 percent harvested.
