Harvest continues in Tennessee

Corn, soybean, and cotton harvest continued as the weather allowed.
Cotton harvest is 2 percent complete with 66 percent of bolls opening, the crop is rated 72 percent good to excellent.
Soybeans are 12 percent harvested with 75 percent of the crop rated good to excellent with 52 percent dropping leaves. Corn harvest is 40 percent complete. Eighty-six percent of tobacco has been harvested.
Sixty-four percent of pastures are rated good to excellent and 5 percent of the winter wheat crop has been planted, with 3 percent emerged.
Eighty-one percent of Topsoil and ninety percent of Subsoil are called adequate to surplus.
