Giving food to Missourians in need

Missouri FFA & Missouri Farmers Care are promoting a big food drive at the State Fair. In fact, six-thousand cans are stacked 13 feet high in the state fair Ag Building in the shape of the FFA logo. Fairgoers today will get $1 off admission for cans of food they bring.

Scott Baker, with the Missouri Food Bank Association tells Brownfield that 1 in 5 Missouri children come from homes that are food insecure.

He says the food donations at this year’s fair will help feed the continuing need for those in need.
