Favorable harvest conditions

An ag weather and climate field specialist says harvest conditions are looking favorable for many midwestern farmers.

Ohio State University Extension’s Aaron Wilson tells Brownfield “we’re tending toward drier conditions. It doesn’t mean we won’t see rainfall once or twice a week, but conditions overall look pretty good and warm. We have a cool down coming this week with our first strong fall cold front but then we’re going to warm back up; good conditions to dry those crops down and efficiently harvest crops this fall.”

Brownfield interviewed Wilson during the 2022 Farm Science Review.
