Farm group disappointed in energy expansion decision

Missouri’s Public Service Commission will allow an update to the Tiger Connector Project to move forward and Missouri Farm Bureau says they’re disappointed in the decision.

In a statement, President Garrett Hawkins says the company is using eminent domain for the transmission line distribution project and the commission’s ruling underscores the need for an updated commission and stronger landowner protections.

Invenergy will be allowed to update the location of a current station and alternating current connector lines through Monroe, Audrain and Callaway Counties. The commission held a public hearing on the project updates last June.
