Farm Futures 2020 intentions survey

The Farm Futures planting intentions survey for 2020 shows a 4-and-a-half-percent increase in corn acreage, compared to the USDA’s latest estimates. But, the survey was completed one week before the USDA’s August 12^th report that sent prices sharply lower.

Farm Futures survey sees soybean and sorghum acreage both up 9% and cotton down nearly 9%.

Spring wheat and durum acres are seen at about six-percent lower next year. All winter wheat is up 1%.

The survey is being released today at the Farm Progress Show.
