Farm Credit Mid-America Director elections

Ten farmers have been nominated to fill five Board of Director positions at Farm Credit Mid-America.

Lowell Hill of DeGraff, Ohio is a candidate. Hill tells Brownfield his desire to be a director goes back to his long relationship with Farm Credit, going back to 1972 when he bought his first farm with their help.

“Through all the year’s I’ve always had excellent service, excellent people to work with and those are the kinds of things that make you interested in maybe becoming more involved with the cooperative,” said Hill.

Also on the ballot from Ohio is Bill Patterson of Chesterland. Patterson has served on the Farm Credit Mid-America board since 2004.

Ballots, which have been mailed to voting members, must be returned by October 12.
