Ethanol exports up in July

U.S. ethanol exports grew in July.

The Renewable Fuels Association says 107.2 million gallons of ethanol left U.S. ports in July, up 6% from June and the tenth month in a row above a 100 million gallons. Canada was the leading destination, followed by Singapore, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Peru.

Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 1.06 million tons tons, an increase of 6% from June, hitting a six month high, primarily to Mexico, Turkey, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Canada.

Ethanol imports were 8.2 million gallons, mostly undenatured ethanol from Brazil.

For the year-to-date, U.S. ethanol exports are on a record pace at 932.9 million gallons, 16% ahead of a year ago, with DDGS exports at 6.73 million tons, 4% faster than last year, and ethanol imports at 29.5 million gallons, 16% higher.
