Embracing new baler technology
A hay and forage market manager with John Deere says good baler automation takes the guess work out of putting up hay bales.
“You get the right bale coming out at the right weight,” says Kaylene Ballesteros.
She says new technology can also help farmers document hay production.
“Bale documentation is a feature offered through a free app called the John Deere Operations Center and you’re able to document every pass through a field and it will tell you moisture and yield by field.”
