Dicamba cutoff will be June 30th in Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has announced a June 30th cutoff for dicamba in 2021.

From 2018 to 2020, MDA has issued a June 20th deadline on registered dicamba products.

June 30th will align with the EPA label that was announced this fall.

Minnesota Ag Commissioner Thom Petersen says dicamba is an important tool for combatting herbicide-resistant weeds.  However, it’s also important to limit impacts on neighboring homes, farms, and gardens.

There were 124 dicamba drift complaints in 2020, up from 22 in 2019.
