Dairy Month in Michigan
The state’s largest agricultural industry takes center stage during June.
Sharon Toth, CEO of the United Dairy Industry of Michigan says the checkoff celebrates dairy every day, but there are numerous activities in store for the month.
Michigan’s dairy processors will host Dairy Foods Awareness Day at the Capitol June 10. Eleven processors will be on display and provide free product samples on the Capitol lawn.
Toth says promotions are planned online as well. “We’ll also be having a twitter party where people can join in online and talk about wonderful dairy recipes and dairy fun facts.”
