COVID-19 alters University of Wisconsin farm short course

The University of Wisconsin’s Farm and Industry Short Course will continue, but not on campus for a year.  Officials with the College of Ag and Life Sciences say they will hold the beginning farmer training program online this year, with the expectation of returning to on-campus instruction the following year.

With the coronavirus concerns, Program Director Jennifer Blazek says the university decided to offer fewer courses and to offer them online this year to ensure the health and safety of students, instructors, and staff.

Students can enroll for Business Principles of Agricultural Management and Introduction to Soils classes, which start online in October.  In spring, they can take The Business of Agriculture and Agribusiness Feasibility Planning.
