Corn planting is finally underway in Indiana

One percent of the corn crop in Indiana is planted as farmers continue to battle cool, wet conditions.

The USDA says growers were able to focus on spring tillage and anhydrous ammonia applications even though planting is still delayed.

Sixty-four percent of the winter wheat crop is in good to excellent condition.

Topsoil moisture is 98 percent and subsoil moisture is 96 percent adequate to surplus.
