Congressional members file amicus brief in WOTUS case

More than 80 members of Congress have filed an amicus brief with the Sixth Circuit court of appeals about the Waters of the U.S. rule.

The lawmakers argue that the EPA rule expands federal jurisdiction over land and water “beyond the restraints set by the Supreme Court.” They argue that Congress has the sole right to make law and the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers have failed to “faithfully” execute the laws set by Congress.
