Coca Cola buys remaining share of fairlife brand
Coca Cola has announced it will buy the remaining share of the fairlife brand from its joint partner Select Milk Producers.
As a minority partner with 42.5 percent, Coca Cola now owns 100 percent of the company for an undisclosed sum.
After it’s release in 2014, fairlife has reported double-digit sales growth every year, making it one of the fastest-growing brands of Coca Cola. Nielsen AMC estimates sales surpassed $500 million last year.
Fairlife is building a new Canadian production facility as well as a new plant in Arizona with plans to expand plants in Michigan and Texas. The ultra-filtered milk company also produces nutrition shakes and drinkable snacks.
