Climate change to dominate Biden agenda in Europe
President Biden and many of his cabinet members will be in Europe in a few weeks for bilateral meetings and the U.N. Climate Change conference (COP26). The White House says Biden will show his “whole of government” approach in tackling climate change issues.
John Kerry, Biden’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, will lead the delegation of senior administration officials.
The Biden administration has pledged to cut greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S. by half by the year 2030 and reach a net-zero economy by the middle of the century.
